Re: how to resolve packet loss issue?

Not really enough to go here (opinion). Is this a TCP or UDP socket? What makes you think that packets get lost? Are you checking the return code from send()?

Re: TCP server: assertion "netconn_alloc: undefined netconn_type" failed

I think it would be useful to know which source statement in the user application is being called which generates the failure. Hopefully it is the same statement each time.

Re: Maximum usable nvs in wroom32

I'm not sure there is a hard-limit on NVS storage other than the amount of flash available and that you allocate. You may have to move the partition to a different location. If it starts at 0x9000 and the next partition starts at 0xf000 then the difference is 24K. You couldn't (for example) make it ...

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

Here is a link to a good write-up on using Eclipse with ESP32.

Re: (xQueueGenericReceive)- assert failed! after esp_wifi_scan_get_ap_records()

I'll stick my neck out and say your problem is here: ESP_ERROR_CHECK(esp_wifi_scan_get_ap_records(&num_of_scanned_aps, &ap_records)); This statement asks to retrieve "num_of_scanned_ap" records and place them in the storage pointed to by "&ap_records". However, your d...

If you are a fan of the C++ language then I'd like to point you to this possibility:

There is also the commercial implementation made by Cesanta Mongoose.

Re: mDNS component's real time safety

Howdy and welcome to the forum. I haven't looked inside the mDNS component's implementation but my belief is that the internals of such a component are free to use whichever technology/implementations that makes sense to them as long as the result satisfies the contract of usage. I haven't seen anyw...

Re: Difference between SPI Boot and Download Boot

My understanding is that SPI boot is a "normal" boot meaning that the application logic found in SPI flash is loaded and branched to. With download boot, the ESP32 does not load the program in flash but instead runs a program found in ROM that starts reading the UART port. It expects to fi...

Re: GPIO20 redundance (not be used)?

My guess is that internally in the MCU, there is the logical notion of the existence of additional GPIOs such as GPIO 20. Now imagine you are the designed of the physical package that is the ESP32. You are now told that you can only have a finite set of pins surrounding its edge. You map the ones th...

Re: Eclipse problem: can't resolve "Unresolved inclusion" for "cJSON.h" file

What language is the program being compiled? C or C++?
What does the actual include of "cJSON.h" look like?

For example:

#include <cJSON.h>

or

#include "cJSON.h"
