I figured it out. I have v1.1 of the Saola board which has the RGB led pin mapped to pin 17 not 18 like v1.2. FYI, The only documentation I can find is for the v1.2 board.
Did you get your code to work? I have V1.2, so the example code should just work for me?

Thanks

Re: Open Hardware HydraBus Shield / Breakout Board for ESP32 - PCB received

I may be interested. I bounced around the Hydrabus sites, BUT could not find a one paragraph description of what Hydrabus is ??

Thanks

Re: Is there CAN interface in ESP32?

Thanks:
* ESP31 is prelim chip (beta) without CAN;
* ESP32 will be out by mid 2016, and will include CAN.

Great news, can't wait.

Re: CAN interface ?

Thank you Rudi. To summarize: * The ESP31 is a preliminary version (beta) for early adopters, and does not include CAN; * The ESP32 will come out (2nd quarter 2016) and will contain a CAN controller +/- CAN-driver. That's great, and I can also say that I will definitely be using it when it arrives. ...

Re: Is there CAN interface in ESP32?

Thanks Kelly.

That is disappointing, external CAN controller have limited throughput and are not ideal.

Some of your block diagrams show a CAN peripheral. Is this in error, planned for a future chip, or present, but not brought out to pins?

Thanks again,
David

Re: CAN interface ?

Can someone confirm that the ESP32 actually has an integral CAN controller ... the documentation to date is not consistent -- while it is shown in some diagrams, the pinouts do not document it, and certainly there is not a CAN.h stub, even.

Re: CAN interface ?

Yes, that will be very cool. Can you tell us the pinout and any information on the CAN controller?
