Re: Welcome to the Official ESP32 forum!

This topic is no place for this. (Actually, this topic is pretty ancient in general; I'm locking it down.)

Yes. Plan withing Espressif is to actually start up a company blog, we'll be having the explanation of how this works as one of the first posts.

Re: make (gcc?) color output during build

Are you sure you're using the latest toolchain? The one I have gives colorful warnings etc out of the box.

Re: Read and write over I2C: Meaning of the parameter "ticks_to_wait"

No, it has nothing to do with clock stretching (well, maybe very indirectly); it is just the timeout for pushing things into the FreeRTOS queue in the I2C driver.

Re: Need Help to use PSRAM with External efused Flash(16 MB)

If I'm understanding this correctly, you're using efuses to re-route the flash pins used so the module boots from a flash chip that is external, instead of the internal one? Then I'm afraid you cannot use the internal PSRAM anymore. The PSRAM shares its data lines with the flash, and your efuse redi...

Re: Generate NMRA DCC Wave Form Using ESP32

I would use the RMT peripheral; it is very well-suited to generating these types of signals.

Re: ESP-WROVER-KIT JTAG access

Just to see if your udev reloaded that rules file correctly, can you reboot the VM and see what happens? If any, I can acknowledge this is probably an issue with your udev rules file.

That's a bug, I think. Mind making an issue for that on Github so I won't forget and we can track it?

Re: Problem uploading file with WiFiClientSecure

To be fair, you're not giving us much to go on... it would help if you could e.g. post the source code of the bit failing. If you really do think this is a SDK bug, I suggest you create an issue in the ESP32 Arduino Github, as the forum is meant as a more casual way of conversing.
