Re: Deep sleep wake-up triggered by low to high logic level of GPIO

You could use a hardware timer or edge detector circuit to do this or use a ULP program to wait before enabling ext0 wakeup or use 2 separate deep sleep paths one is a 40s timer deepsleep which ends in a wake stub to enable ext0 deepsleep.

Re: ESP32 PSRAM support

If any, post 2.1. Ok so how to look at esp32 rev1 SPIRAM support in IDF from a product planning standpoint? Will it always be second class citizen in terms of IDF updates, separate branch? Do you suggest to consider waiting for "ESP-NEXT" chip for fixed SPIRAM and first class IDF support?

Re: Interrupts issue

Example code uses

Code: Select all

gpio_install_isr_service(ESP_INTR_FLAG_DEFAULT);

There are very few CPU edge type interrupts (even fewer with level 1) especially on CPU0

Re: [info] ESP32-PRO - a combine with PIC32 ( USB OTG, USB Device )

OK if you want vdd_sdio for sleep and you exclude 3.3v psram then wroom is out.

If you want custom flash sizes (and low volumes/short lead times) then wrover is out.

Re: [info] ESP32-PRO - a combine with PIC32 ( USB OTG, USB Device )

They may be able to achieve tighter layout without the module. Not sure what their assembly costs are (so no clue if it's a win or loss in that respect). OTOH they possibly need to go through FCC/CE. That is possible, but I think most of their boards are two layer and will have routing, RF and impe...
