Re: ESP 32 wrover kit Linux OpenOCD

Perhaps some jumpers on JTAG lines missing? Please check that you have four jumpers connecting MTDI, MTDO, MTCK, and MTMS between the FTDI and the ESP32.

Re: ESP32 Wifi Station Modem Sleep Delay

Could you please quantify "long"? Once the station is connected to the AP, there shouldn't be much of a delay.

Re: esp_log_level_set() for a tag is not effective if tag has already logged

Looks like a bug, and something we would accept a PR for if you submit it. As far as i understand this means replacing
`if (s_log_cache[i].tag == tag) {`
with
`if (strcmp(s_log_cache[i].tag, tag) == 0) {`,
right?

Re: esp_wifi_set_ps(WIFI_PS_MODEM), BLE, and light sleep?

We're aiming to have the feature freeze by mid February (before spring festival). This means that it is likely that this particular feature will trickle down to the master branch by then. If we miss that date for some reason, then end of February is likely.

Good to know. The variable does not need to be static, by the way.

Re: ESP_LOGx() slow down the speed?

esp_log_level_set allows filtering log messages by tag at run time. It also has a '*' wildcard to change log level for all tags. esp_log_set_vprintf, which you already know of, can be replaced with a no-op function to prevent formatting from happening. http://esp-idf.readthedocs.io/en/latest/api-ref...

Re: Storage API support for small capacity SD cards

SDSC means "standard capacity", which is a term used in SD specification. 128MB cards are typically SDSC. SDMMC driver does not have limitations related to card size, and 128MB (and even 64MB) cards were among those which we have tested. However, among SDSC cards we have found quite a few ...

Re: Maximum possible CPU clock with heatsink and clock throttling.

Regarding the first question: the official answer is "not possible". However, the source code of clock selection functions is provided inside rtc_clk.c in rtc component, so feel free to poke there... Regarding clock throttling: we call this "dynamic frequency scaling", it is expl...

Re: binary semaphore doesn't work if created in task that uses it ?

Please don't forget to pass 2nd BOOL* argument to xSemaphoreGiveFromISR and call portYIELD_FROM_ISR if it gets set to pdTRUE.
If you don't do that, preemption will only happen on the next FreeRTOS tick.
