Re: Cannot run app on ESP32 from an external battery

Vin is the LDO input (+5V pin from USB). If the battery voltage is 3.4V, it is probably not enough to give 3.3V on LDO's output (pin 3V3).
You could use the LiFePO4 battery connected directly to 3V3 pin to power the board.

Re: Is there any dev kit with 16MB flash?

Some boards with 16MB Flash:
Wemos-TTGO-LORA-SX1278
ESP32-OLED-V2-0-TTGO
M5Stack Fire
Wemod D1 Mini Pro
Widore Air 16M

@Deouss
Being on a topic of esp modules - is there a reference design for dev wrover board with built in usb/ttl?

Re: PPPoS compoment is having rapid disconnection with GSM over 4g network type

Have you enabled → Component config → LWIP → Enable PPP support → Enable PPP debug log output ?
If enabled it prints detailed log of PPPoS communication.

Re: PPPoS compoment is having rapid disconnection with GSM over 4g network type

I've used PPPoS only with Simcom 2G/3G modules and had no disconnect issues.

You can try enabling debugging to get all the PPPoS debuging messages, maybe it could help to detect the disconnect reason.

Re: Porting esptool.py to C

I'm working on a C version of esptool.py. My plan is to use the custom ESP32 board (WROVER based, SDCard, TFT touch display, power management,...) as a programmer for other ESP32 boards. With minor modification (UART communication), it should also be possible to compile it for different microcontrol...

Re: Compilation fails after switching from Wroom to Wrover

Yes you are right. What I meant - compilation fails to execute. Project is compiling ok but it is not working for wrover and it needs reconfiguration and recompiling. I've never had any issue like this. All applications I've built runs exactly the same on Wroom and Wrover based boards, no special c...

Re: Any information for SYSTEM_EVENT_AP_STAIPASSIGNED callback?

You can use wifi_sta_list_t station_list; esp_wifi_ap_get_sta_list(&station_list) wifi_sta_info_t *stations = (wifi_sta_info_t*)station_list.sta; to get the stations list. Than you can iteraatee trough stations list to get the stations IPs: for (int i = 0; i < station_list.num; ++i) { ip4_addr_t...

Re: ESP-WROOM-32 and extending the flash

AnalogLamb has ESP32-WROVER Breakout Board for 1.99 US$, but without USB2UART chip, and ESP32 Fixer Board for ESP32-WROVER, but it is not cheap (18.88 US$).
