Re: Questions about assembly routines

By the way the code in question supposed to be an RGB+Alpha blending algorithm :) I hope I didn't messed it up that much. Prototype, no for cycle yet. Did not try to compile it yet. uint16_t cAlphaBlendA8RGB16(clr_a8rgb16_t fg, uint16_t bg) { /* RGB color mixing of "layer" with background ...

Questions about assembly routines

Hi All, I have a question regarding coding in Assembly in the ESP32. There are some things I want to know, I try to be brief. 1) I know that certianly I can use Inline assembler in the ESP32, I'm trying to use extended assembly. Which constraints are available? I'm mostly concerned about register re...

Re: New ESP32-WROVER Ethernet Board

The price of that RJ45 is pretty hefty  But compactness is costly so I'm not surprised. The PoE module is a good idea, however I found that not many people use the 48V system, because of the cost of converter modules. Instead I found that people use 12V or 24V, (most cameras use 12V and not e...

Re: Auto program Boot Flasher is still mysterious!

I guess, it can come down to using cheap transistors. Ver cheap and crappy transistors are not to be used above a couple of kHz, so they are not the fastest. They transition slower, and also usually have bigger internal capacitances, hence even slower response. This would eliminate the need for a bi...

Re: New ESP32-WROVER Ethernet Board

Hi Mike, I have a suggestion for you to move on: Make it POE compatible. This means you may have to use an RJ45 without magnetics, but a separate transformer. HOWEVER, if you look at the Raspberry Pi 3B+, it doesn't have a separate transformer, but the RJ45 connector has the proper leads to access t...

Re: New ESP32-WROVER Ethernet Board

It's just perfect i would buy a few of them , but one suggestion, that board is perfect for home automation projects where you use 24V power lines (due to bigger power loss on 12v on long cables.) so using controller that could handle 24V +, would be just huge advantage in world of 11-17 V boards t...

Re: Anyone get static IP assignment working for wifi?

So you have a state of the art Wifi enabled Microcontroller, spend 10s of $s on development hardware, but have an old router? That's not gonna work. Well, I suggest you grab a new router for the following 5 reasons: - Security - Security - Security - Compatibility - Nive UI and settings Wifi standar...

Re: Anyone get static IP assignment working for wifi?

I've put the following code in project and it shows the correct IP assigned. But I can't get DNS to work. I don't think the address I assign in dns_setserver is the problem as I also tried Google's 8.8.8.8. tcpip_adapter_ip_info_t ip_info; ip_addr_t addr; addr.type = IPADDR_TYPE_V4; addr.u_addr.ip4...
