Re: ESP32 5GHz

Dear @ESP_Sprite
Here comes the mid year update request about 5GHz chip. It's been 2 years since the first enquiry about 5Ghz.
Can you provide more info about a 5G roadmap now?

Rebuilding arduino's libraries based on IDF v4 (arduino as a component) for BLE low power

I want to rebuild arduino's libraries based on IDF v4 to benefit from recent idf improvment on BLE power consumption (https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/issues/947) I had previously successfully rebuild arduino's libraries based on IDF 3.2. That worked following the instructions: https://github.co...

Re: Actual power consumption of ESP32 using only Bluetooth Low Energy

Hi, From the above post on BLE consumtion in light sleep, I have spent 3-4 days just to rebuild my librairies for arduino-esp32 to take advantage of all the menuconfig additionnal options. That is now done, but I don't see much improvement. I am testing on ESP-WROOM-32. Which do not have external cr...

Arduino as an esp-idf component: I failed

I have been spending several days trying to use arduino as a component of esp-Idf with no luck. Ultimately what I wanted to do was to be able to modify the precompiled librairies of arduino in order to modify some menuconfig settings. for BLE power consumption in particular. - I have tried first to ...

Re: DHCP server (external) information for dhcp snooping prevention

I have searched again in the esp-idf documentation with no luck.

Usually this info is taken quite easily from the dhcp protocol messages.

Is this implemented or planned to be?

DHCP server (external) information for dhcp snooping prevention

For DHCP snooping prevention - that is: to prevent rogues DHCP servers to serve IP addresses to clients - I need to get the source mac or IP of the serving DHCP server that gave my esp32 its IP address. I will then store it to compare it later at the next connection (my usecase makes that my devices...

Re: Using esp-idf in arduino: issues with librairies / components

In case someone want to give it a try I was just trying to compile this code on arduino: ping program.

Re: Using esp-idf in arduino: issues with librairies / components

Thanks for helping. 2 reasons why I tried to include some esp-idf files instead of the arduino's one: - some files do not exist in the arduino code : example: tcpip_adapter_types.h Tipically this one doesnt compile, was unfound, which made me start to try and include it from somewhere else. Not sure...

Using esp-idf in arduino: issues with librairies / components

I'm using arduino, and so far I could always add some occasionnal esp-idf libraries (or components, not sure what's the difference) in my project, by adding the header. Like: #include "C:\esp\esp-idf\components\esp_https_ota\include\esp_https_ota.h" I have the esp-idf in C:\esp\esp-idf, and arduino ...

Re: how much the HTTP transfer rate can archive on esp32

Can anyone tell me if he has achieved a decent throughput (say >10mbps) on the esp32, on a regular file download for instance (not iperf)? On arduino, or IDF, I can adapt.
