Re: Hardware device design questions

For Antenna, the tradeoffs are simple. If you are a beginner (or this is your first rev), I would HIGHLY recommend an external antenna. This will allow you to try different antennas out, and evaluate different scenarios. This will also make the layout easier; as all you must do is make all the RF pa...

Re: Can ESP32 output audio streams?

Basically, you can output audio via:
PWM
PDM
I2S
DAC

How many watts are you trying to output? 100mW, 1W, 10W?
Are you trying to output to headphones or speakers?

Re: OTA-Update strategy (regarding IDF updates, bootloader etc.)

Angus,
If a new OTA is rolled out that causes the device to get stuck in a bootloop; what can be done to guard again this? It it possible for the bootloader to realize this, and jump to the factory slot? or will it be stuck forever?

Re: nghttp2 -- closing a GET stream

Figured it out. Just have to call:

Code: Select all

nghttp2_submit_rst_stream(session, NGHTTP2_FLAG_NONE, frame->hd.stream_id, NGHTTP2_REFUSED_STREAM))
on the nghttp2_on_frame_recv_callback, aka callback_on_frame_recv() in this example.

Trying learn http2 using this example: https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/tree/master/examples/protocols/http2_request A GET stream is opened to a clock API, where the server pushes the time back to the ESP32 every 1 second. How can I close this stream after 5 seconds, without closing the session ...

Re: trouble with Open OCD

Try these steps:

1. try plugging the USB directly into your computer (don't use a USB hub).
2. try a different USB port (that is directly connected to the computer)
3. Double check the Zadig setting
4. put the ESP in bootload mode (hold BOOT pin, and hit the EN pin), then start openOCD

I have been living with same problem. I am running in eclipse on windows.
Hoping the dev team is working on improving debugging.
