Re: esptool and OTA conflict
Thank you very much for your answers Angus and Chegewara. Or you could temporarily modify the CSV file for the partition table to change the type of the "factory" partition to something else (which means the system will fallback to flashing and booting from OTA slot 0 by default). Then change it bac...

+1
I am also interested in knowing this answer, maybe someone else can comment on this?

Re: esptool and OTA conflict
Then we can add options to automatically clear ota_data on serial flash (and/or to serial flash into an OTA slot instead of into "factory"). Hello @ESP_Angus, any news about this feature of serial flashing into an OTA slot and booting from there instead of factory? I see that the clear ota_data opt...

Re: Setting up Visual Studio Code for ESP32 IDF
Thank you Deouss!
Very well done and nicely explained.
I actually expected it to be much simpler... what is the difference between powershell and cmd? and how do I know which one I am using? Is it necessary to edit the environment variables even if we use the Espressif installer that adds some paths?

Re: Extremely slwo build time in eclipse (not in MSYS)
I had a similar issue in the past and it was caused by an antivirus/antimalware intensively checking files created during compilation.
Try disabling any antivirus/antimalware software or create an exception on the compilation folder.

Re: Preview release: CMake-based build system for ESP-IDF
I would be very interested about any guide explaining how to setup CMake with any other IDE apart of Eclipse. Visual Studio Code sounds great. :D

I was also interested, but two weeks ago got this answer from Espressif: "This product is not available to the market yet."

Re: Esp32 projects with MS Visual Studio
Thanks for this info. But this has to be used with Microsoft Visual Studio right? Which needs an expensive license, doesn't it? On the other side Visual Studio Code seems free... I am right now an user of Eclipse, but I am considering changing to a newer IDE... and I need it for comercial purpouses,...

Re: JTAG Debugger that fits most ESP32 Projects
Thanks for your answer! I would be interested in getting one of the spare ones you have, how much? If I understood correctly, it supports USB/Serial programming + communication, and also JTAG debugging right? And both things can be connected at the same time? At the link I posted earlier, please loo...
