ESP32-CAM: running hello_world

Postby mzimmers » Thu Jun 11, 2020 4:48 pm

Hi all -

I'm starting on a new project, using the ESP32-CAM. Before I try actually using the camera, I thought I'd just flash the hello_world example and verify that it's running. The example builds, and seems to flash, but I get no output when using monitor:

Code: Select all

C:\esp32-projects\hello_camera> monitor -p COM3
Checking Python dependencies...
Python requirements from C:\esp-idf\requirements.txt are satisfied.
Executing action: monitor
Running idf_monitor in directory c:\esp32-projects\hello_camera
Executing "C:\esp32-toolchain\.espressif\python_env\idf4.0_py3.7_env\Scripts\python.exe C:\esp-idf\tools/ -p COM3 -b 115200 c:\esp32-projects\hello_camera\build\hello-camera.elf -m 'C:\esp32-toolchain\.espressif\python_env\idf4.0_py3.7_env\Scripts\python.exe' 'C:\esp-idf\tools\'"...
--- idf_monitor on COM3 115200 ---
--- Quit: Ctrl+] | Menu: Ctrl+T | Help: Ctrl+T followed by Ctrl+H ---
Shouldn't I be seeing the hello, world loop?
