ESP32 Build System - Ubuntu 20.04

Postby mauriciomendes » Wed May 20, 2020 1:57 am

Hello Guys,

I am having a lot of trouble to build the toolchain on Ubuntu 20.04 Focal. Have anyone tried yet?

Basically when I try to setup the prerequisites I am having this problem that can locate python packages.

$ sudo apt-get install git wget libncurses-dev flex bison gperf python python-pip python-setuptools python-serial python-click python-cryptography python-future python-pyparsing python-pyelftools cmake ninja-build ccache libffi-dev libssl-dev
[sudo] password for mauricio:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Note, selecting 'python-is-python2' instead of 'python'
E: Unable to locate package python-pip
E: Unable to locate package python-serial
E: Unable to locate package python-click
E: Unable to locate package python-future

Does anyone have an idea about?

Many Thanks,
MM

Could you please try setting python3 as default, "sudo apt install python-is-python3" first?
