ESP32 Installation/Communication Issues

Postby Farzad_K » Sun Sep 19, 2021 6:51 pm

Hello.

I am trying to get Arduino to communicate with a ESP32 OLED WiFi Kit ESP-32 device on Windows 10 Pro.

I have installed all the Python required programs and can verify the pyserial is installed and active.

I have installed the CP210 driver.

Arduino sees the port, but does not see the microcontroller unless it is selected in Arduino as an Arduino Yun. Manufacturer states this board is the Heltec WiFi Kit, and other sources on the Internet refer to it as an ESP32 Dev Module. I can find all the ESP32 boards in Arduino, but none of them are recognized as being attached to my PC.

Is there anything else I need to do?

Are there any recommendations for a more user friendly ESP32 micro controllers?

Thanks in advance.
