What is the flash size?

The esp32 web site says the flash is 4MBbyte.

You think it might be different on the shipping wroom32 modules?

The flash is external and the data sheet says up to 64MB. So 4MB is expected but not stated explicitly as default.

Thanks. Does wroom32 have rtc crystal onboard? Data sheet says yes, but hdk module reference design doesn't have it. So reference design is intended for lowest cost modules like ai-thinker esp-3212, but wroom32 design is different?

i have ESP-WROOM-32 and i tried to upload a program 1.7MB big .... Platform.IO complains that maximum 1MB is allowed ... i went ahead and changed its limit to 2mb but upload failed. is there a reason i can only upload programs up to 1mb ?
