Reading changes to the amplitude of the Wi-Fi packets

Postby lernerbot » Fri Jan 05, 2018 7:49 pm

I'm a physical prototype developer and I'm interested in the clever research done by the folks at the University of Washington (specifically section 3.2)

In order to make this work they have access to the raw wifi signal from a Maxim 2829. From other posts I've read on here I understand why giving access to the raw wifi signal is not something Espressif would like to give access to.

Is there a way to get a value indicative of amplitude for each wifi packet with either the ESP32 or the ESP8266?
