How to Factory Reset ESP32-S3-BOX-Lite

Using an ESP32-S3-BOX-Lite via Arduino IDE, and had some code running, but now I've somehow managed to screw up the device.

Trying to Factory Reset it - I've been through a few videos, tried ESP Tools etc but to no avail.

What's the recommended and quickest way to reset this box??

Please use ESP-Launchpad https://github.com/espressif/esp-box/bl ... ecommended to quickly flash the factory firmware, please choose the following file:

If download fails, please hold down the Boot button and then press the Reset button to initiate Firmware Download mode manually.

Thanks Rachel - I appreciate your help.

However - when I try to Connect the Device it is saying it's paired, but it does Connect, then the main screen shows that it is being used. (see images in attachment)

There is nothing that it is paired with. I have rebooted the PC - have checked my phones and anything else with Bluetooth and nothing is paired to it.

How do I clear this?

See the error inform, the USB port of your device is occupied, please manually enter Firmware Download mode by holding the box-lite's Boot button and then press the Reset button, then try to reconnect the device and flash firmware again.

Trying to do this but doesn't seem to make any difference.

Do I hold the buttons then plug into USB - or plugin then buttons

How long do I hold the buttons in?

Sorry for the problems - but really need to sort this.

Can anyone else help with this - desperate to get the unit back and program it.

You don't need to unplug the USB, just hold the Boot button, then one press Reset button, then release the boot button. Try compile and program it. If you still fails, please attach the serial log here.

Thank you so much for your help Rachel - I've managed to do it now and got it restored. I've also got some basic code working.

I'm now looking to do some code to display something on the screen - can you recommend what library to use and maybe point me to some example code/
